About this scholarship
Celina Ramos Fund
You are receiving up to 4,000 EUR for a small social project that helps people in Belgium who are experiencing economic or social hardship. The money is intended to bring about tangible and, ideally, sustainable improvements to their everyday lives. The projects may cover areas such as housing, employment, health, education, culture and leisure. The fund is managed by the King Baudouin Foundation (Koning Boudewijnstichting / Fondation Roi Baudouin) in Belgium.
Who can apply
- Who you are: You are a person or organisation based in Belgium.
- Your project: You are leading a small, practical project that helps disadvantaged people to participate in society.
- Not yet started: Only new projects are eligible for funding. Your project must not have started yet.
- Grassroots first: Preference is given to projects initiated by local people. Larger organisations may also apply, but must explain how the project arose from a genuine need, why they are unable to cover the costs themselves, and submit a detailed financial plan.
- No political or ideological groups: Projects carried out by political or ideological-philosophical organisations, or their branches, are not eligible to apply.
How to apply
Applications must be submitted online via the Foundation’s application portal. There are two rounds of calls for proposals each year. For round 2026 B, the application deadline is 27 August 2026. Decisions on which projects will receive funding are made on the basis of the published selection criteria.
How realistic are your chances?
This fund is aimed exclusively at new, small-scale projects for disadvantaged people in Belgium; its scope is therefore narrower than that of open funding schemes. If your project clearly fits this focus, is genuinely grassroots-oriented and has not yet begun, your chances are good. A clear, well-reasoned explanation of why you need the money counts for more than a polished presentation.
