Dublin City University - DCU International Merit Scholarships

What you get

You get a one-off reduction on your DCU tuition fees for the 2027-28 academic year. The amount ranges from 1,850 EUR to 6,100 EUR depending on your faculty and whether you study at bachelor or master level. The money is credited to your student account, so it lowers the fees you owe rather than being paid out to you. Dublin City University (DCU) in Ireland funds these partial, merit-based awards for non-EU students.

Rough guide by faculty:

• Humanities and Social Sciences: 1,850 EUR (bachelor) or 2,000 EUR (master)
• Business School: 2,800 EUR (bachelor) or 2,000 EUR (master)
• Engineering and Computing: 5,000 EUR (bachelor) or 4,400 EUR (master)
• Science and Health: 3,100 EUR to 6,100 EUR (bachelor) or 4,500 EUR to 5,000 EUR (master)

There is also a general DCU Merit Scholarship with no fixed figure. DCU confirms that amount individually when you get your admission result.

Who can apply

• Where you come from: You are a non-EU student. EU students are not covered.
• Admission: You have received an offer to study at DCU.
• Level: You are enrolling in a full-time bachelor or master programme.
• Field of study: Your course is one of the eligible programmes in Humanities and Social Sciences, Engineering and Computing, the Business School, or Science and Health. Not every course qualifies, and some faculties fund only a named list of master programmes.
• Grades: You have strong academic results, since the award is merit-based.
• One award only: If you receive one DCU International Scholarship, you cannot also get another DCU scholarship, such as the general Merit Scholarship.

How to apply

There is no separate application. When you apply to study at DCU as a non-EU student, you are automatically considered. If you win, DCU tells you by email and confirms it when it sends your study application result.
