FindAMasters Scholarships

You will win a one-off cash prize of about 7,000 EUR (£6,000), which is intended to help you fund your Master’s degree. You can use it towards tuition fees or living costs whilst you are studying. Every year, one Master’s student wins this prize, and in some years there are also smaller consolation prizes worth a few hundred pounds each. The prize is awarded by FindAUniversity Ltd., the company behind findamasters.com.

Who can apply

• Study level: You are starting a Master’s degree and are not continuing a degree programme you have already begun.
• University: You are enrolling at a university listed in the FindAMasters.com directory.
• Field of study: Any subject.
• Nationality: Any nationality.
• Previous winners: You haven’t won this prize yet. You can only win it once.

How to apply

Entries must be submitted via the competition page on findamasters.com. You must submit a short statement of around 200 words explaining why you wish to undertake a Master’s degree. The closing date for entries is 31 August. Winners will be selected solely on the basis of their submission and will be notified within approximately four weeks of the closing date. If you win, you will then need to provide proof of enrolment.

How realistic are your chances?

This is a single award open to students of all nationalities and from all disciplines. As a result, the pool of applicants is large and the competition is fierce. The success or failure of your application will be determined by a brief statement of reasons – so a clear, genuine reason for your choice of degree programme is what will set you apart from the rest. It doesn’t take long to enter, so it’s worth giving it a go, even if only one student wins.
