Greenwich Progression Bursary

You get a fee waiver of about 3,500 EUR (£3,000) taken straight off your postgraduate tuition fees. It is not paid to you as cash. The University of Greenwich offers it to help its own students and graduates move on to a master's degree or teacher-training course. If you study part time, the amount is split proportionally. You keep the full waiver only if you finish the course without a break in your studies.

Who can apply

• Your university: You are a final-year undergraduate at the University of Greenwich, or one of its graduates.
• Grades: You are predicted to reach, or already hold, at least a 2:2 (Lower Second Class Honours) in your undergraduate degree.
• Next course: You are applying for a taught postgraduate course (PGT) or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at Greenwich.
• Where you study: The course is at the Greenwich, Avery Hill or Medway campus. Online courses and the Medway School of Pharmacy do not count.
• Fee status: You are classed as a Home fee payer, not an international fee payer.
• Start date: Your postgraduate course begins in September 2026.

How to apply

There is no separate form. You apply for your postgraduate course, and the university's Student Recruitment team decides who gets the waiver. Places go out first come, first served, and the bursary closes once the money runs out. Apply for your course as early as you can.

How realistic are your chances?

This is only open to Greenwich students and graduates who move on to a Greenwich postgraduate course, so the eligible group is already small. The catch is the limited pot handed out first come, first served: meeting the criteria is not enough if the funding is gone. If you fit the conditions and apply for your course early, your prospects are good.
