About this scholarship

What You Get

This scholarship from the Icelandic Ministry of Culture, Innovation and Higher Education covers your tuition fees at the University of Iceland and pays a monthly allowance to help with accommodation and living costs. What You Study

You enrol in the BA programme in Icelandic as a Second Language at the University of Iceland in Reykjavík (School of Humanities). The programme combines practical language training - speaking, reading and writing modern Icelandic - with academic subjects such as morphology (how words are formed), syntax (sentence structure), phonetics, medieval and modern Icelandic literature, and the history of Iceland from its settlement to the present day.
