State Scholarship Foundation (I.K.Y.) - Programme for Further Education / Post Graduate / Postdoctoral Studies in Greece (I.K.Y.)

What You Get

This scholarship gives foreign nationals a monthly stipend of €600 to support postgraduate (Master's level) or postdoctoral research studies at a Greek university. The scholarship lasts up to 36 months. It covers all academic disciplines - there is no restriction on your field of study.

Who Offers It

The scholarship is awarded by the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), Greece's national scholarships body. IKY has been offering this programme to foreign nationals since 1964.

Eligibility

• Nationality: Open to foreign nationals of any country.
• Level of study: You must be pursuing postgraduate (Master's) studies or postdoctoral research in Greece.
• University: No restriction on which Greek university you attend.
• Discipline: All academic fields are eligible.

Selection

Candidates are chosen through a formal selection process. No further details about the selection criteria are currently published.

Important Note

IKY runs this programme periodically - it is not offered every year. The IKY website has stated that postgraduate and postdoctoral scholarships for foreign nationals were not open in the most recent round. Check back regularly for new calls. The application deadline in previous rounds fell on 16 June.
