About this scholarship
IKY scholarship for studies in Greece
You will receive monthly grant of 600 EUR for a Master’s or PhD programme, work in the field of fine arts, or for data collection. For postdoctoral research or further training, you will receive 800 EUR per month. You will also receive a one-off payment of 600 EUR at the start. The funding covers the duration of your scholarship: one to two years for a Master’s degree, one to three years for a PhD (with a possible additional year for the thesis without further remuneration), six to twelve months for postdoctoral research or further training, and one year for fine arts or research data. If you take an optional course in Modern Greek during the first year, the course fees will be covered in full. Emergency treatment within the Greek public healthcare system is free of charge. PhD students may also claim up to 300 EUR for printing costs and up to 300 EUR for research expenses. The scholarship is awarded by the State Scholarship Foundation (I.K.Y.), the Greek national scholarship authority. Travel and conference expenses, as well as family allowances, are not covered.
