About this scholarship

What you get

Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) in the UK offers two scholarships for international students. Both cut your tuition fees, so the money comes straight off what you owe. You do not get cash. Both are awarded automatically once you enrol, with no separate application.

  • Undergraduate (bachelor's): up to about EUR 8,100 (£7,000) in total over your degree. The lower level gives about EUR 2,300 (£2,000) in year one, plus about EUR 1,150 (£1,000) in each of up to three further years. The higher level gives about EUR 4,600 (£4,000) in year one, plus the same yearly top-up. It goes to applicants who clearly exceed the entry requirements. To keep the yearly top-up, you must pass each year without carrying credits forward.
  • Postgraduate (master's): up to about EUR 4,600 (£4,000), depending on your qualifications.

Who can apply

  • Fee status: You pay international tuition fees at ARU.
  • Level and course (undergraduate): You are starting a full-time bachelor's degree at an ARU UK campus.
  • Level (postgraduate): You meet at least one of these: you study an MBA, you are already an ARU graduate, or your application clearly exceeds the minimum entry requirements.
  • New student: You are joining ARU for the first time. ARU and ARU College graduates cannot get the undergraduate award.
  • Field of study: Open to all subjects taught on eligible courses.
  • Nationality: Open to all international students. UK home-fee students cannot apply.
  • Eligible courses (undergraduate): These do not count: degree apprenticeships, foundation degrees, distance learning, work-based degrees, ARU College, online courses and pre-sessional English. The award also does not apply during work-placement or study-abroad years.
  • Not funded elsewhere: You may not qualify if an employer, charity or government body sponsors you, or if you have federal tuition fee loans.

How to apply

There is no application and no deadline. If you meet the criteria, the fee reduction is applied automatically after you enrol and meet all registration conditions.

How realistic are your chances?

The award is automatic, so there is no competition. If you are a new international fee-payer on an eligible course, you get it. The only variable is the level: the higher undergraduate amount depends on how far your application beats the minimum entry requirements, so strong grades push you into the larger reduction.
