Academic achievement scholarships (Kategorie mit schulspezifischen Einzelprogrammen)

What you get

The University of Leeds gives several academic achievement scholarships to undergraduate students, one per subject or School, all awarded for strong exam results. The amount depends on your course. For the BSc Textile Innovation and Sustainability there are eight scholarships worth about EUR 7,700 per year (GBP 6,625) for three years, split between your tuition fees and a living-cost grant. The BA Fashion Design Innovation and the BA Sustainable Fashion each offer one scholarship worth about EUR 2,300 per year (GBP 2,000) for three years. Other Schools, including the Business School and Schools across arts, sciences, engineering, law and medicine, run their own achievement scholarships with their own amounts.

Who can apply

• Level: You are starting an undergraduate (bachelor's) degree at the University of Leeds, mostly for entry in 2026-27.
• Subject: Each scholarship is tied to one specific course. You must apply for that exact course, for example BSc Textile Innovation and Sustainability, BA Fashion Design Innovation or a named Business School degree.
• Fee status: The design awards and several others are open only to students who pay UK-level fees.
• Grades: Selection is based on your grades, usually your GCSE (or equivalent) results and your predicted A-level (or equivalent) results, weighted equally.
• If you defer: If you push your place back by a year, you must apply again for funding in your actual entry year.

How to apply

For most of these scholarships there is no separate form. You apply for the course through UCAS by 14 January 2026, and every eligible applicant is considered automatically. Some Business School awards are decided on a rolling basis from your UCAS application, so check the rules for your course.

How realistic are your chances?

These awards are cut narrowly by course, so only students on one named degree compete for a handful of places, sometimes just one. If you apply for one of these courses, meet the UK fee condition where it applies, and have strong GCSE and predicted A-level grades, your prospects are reasonable. You must apply by the UCAS deadline, because only applicants who meet it are considered.
