What you get

You get a discount on your MBA tuition fees at Manchester Metropolitan University, worth 10% to 50% of the fees. The exact amount depends on your merit, potential and fit with the programme. For UK and Channel Island students, fees are 24,000 GBP (about EUR 27,700), so the discount can save up to about EUR 13,800. For EU and international students, fees are 27,504 GBP (about EUR 31,700), a saving of up to about EUR 15,900. The discount comes straight off your tuition and is split across the two years of the course. There are three named awards: the Manchester Scholarship, the Future Sustainable Leaders Scholarship and the Women in Leadership Scholarship.

Who can apply

• Course: You are applying for the Manchester Met MBA (2 years part-time, or 1 year full-time from September 2027), starting in September 2026 or September 2027.
• Degree: You have at least a 2:2 UK honours degree (lower second class) or an equivalent from abroad. Strong work experience can count instead if you have no formal degree.
• Work experience: You have at least 3 years of leadership or management experience after your studies.
• English: If English is not your first language, you can prove your English level.
• Who pays: You pay for the course yourself, or cover at least 50% of the fees yourself. If an employer, charity or other organisation fully sponsors you, you cannot get this scholarship.
• Which award fits you: The Manchester Scholarship is for people who live or work in Greater Manchester. The Future Sustainable Leaders Scholarship is for anyone committed to advancing sustainability in their career. The Women in Leadership Scholarship supports women building their leadership careers.

How to apply

There is no separate scholarship form or deadline. Every MBA applicant is considered automatically when you apply for the course. The award is decided from your application and an interview about your goals, then confirmed in your offer letter.

How realistic are your chances?

The scholarship is built into MBA admission and comes in a wide range (10% to 50%). So most accepted applicants who fund themselves have a real shot at some level of discount, rather than an all-or-nothing outcome. Your prospects improve if you clearly match one of the three awards, for example living or working in Greater Manchester, or having a strong track record in sustainability or leadership. Applicants who are fully sponsored by an employer or organisation cannot get this scholarship.
