About this scholarship

What the Foundation Sbranti gives you

You will receive a one-off payment of 5,000 EUR for one academic year at University of Pisa in Italy. The Kristina Bronislava Przyiemska Sbranti Foundation, a university foundation affiliated with University of Pisa, awards two of these scholarships each year. The amount of 5,000 EUR is a gross amount, from which statutory tax deductions will therefore be made. You may not combine this grant with any other study grants, whether from the education funding system or from other organisations. Exemption from tuition fees does not exclude you from receiving this grant.

Who can apply

  • Nationality: You are a Polish citizen and live in Poland.
  • University: You are enrolled at the University of Pisa or would like to enrol there.
  • Degree level: You are studying on a Bachelor’s, Master’s or single-cycle Master’s programme (a longer course of study that combines both degrees).
  • Field of study: Any topic is fine.
  • Age: At the time of applying, you are 30 years old or younger.
  • Financial situation: You must submit proof of your income (an ISEE certificate or an official Italian income statement). Your income, your final exam mark and any proven personal or family circumstances of hardship are all taken into account in the ranking.

How to apply

Please complete the Foundation’s form in Italian and email it to the Foundation by 20 January. A three-member committee will assess the applications on the basis of academic results, income and any verifiable cases of hardship. You will receive the outcome by email within three months.

How realistic are your chances?

This grant is very restrictive. You must be a Polish citizen, live in Poland, be 30 years old or younger, and be enrolled at a specific university. Consequently, the pool of eligible applicants is small, and only two payments are made each year. If you clearly meet these conditions and can demonstrate a genuine financial need, your chances are good. Please note that the application must be submitted in Italian and that certified copies of your income and degree certificates are required. You should therefore start compiling the documents well in advance of the deadline.
