University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) discount

For a one-year Master’s degree programme (MSc) at the College of Science and Engineering, University of Glasgow, you will receive a 20% discount on your tuition fees. This is a reduction in fees, not a monthly payment, and it applies for the entire year of your studies. The University of Glasgow offers this benefit to graduates of its partner university, the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC).

Who can apply

• Your degree background: You graduated from Glasgow College UESTC or another institution affiliated with the China University of Electronics and Technology.
• What you study next: You enrol on an eligible one-year MSc programme with on-campus teaching at the University of Glasgow’s College of Science and Engineering, for example in the fields of engineering, computer science, natural sciences, mathematics or earth sciences.
• Fee status: For the purposes of tuition fees, you are considered an international student.
• Home country: You’re from China.
• One discount only: This funding cannot be combined with other scholarships or sponsor discounts offered by Glasgow, with the exception of the alumni discount. If you are eligible for more than one discount, the one with the lower value will not apply.

How to apply

No separate application is required. The University of Glasgow will automatically apply the discount upon enrolment, provided you meet the eligibility criteria. If you are unsure whether you meet the eligibility criteria, please contact the University of Glasgow’s Scholarships Office by email.

How realistic are your chances?

This discount is reserved for a specific group: UESTC graduates who are transferring to an eligible Master’s programme (MSc) in Glasgow. There is neither a minimum grade requirement nor a selection process. If you meet the criteria, you will receive the discount automatically, without having to compete against other applicants.
