About this scholarship
What you get
You get a one-off 1,500 GBP (about 1,750 EUR) towards your tuition for a taught master's degree at the University of Plymouth in the UK. A taught master's (Postgraduate Taught, or PGT) is a one-year master's built around classes and coursework rather than research. The university set aside 100 of these scholarships for international students starting in September 2013.
Who can apply
- Level: You are starting a taught master's programme at the University of Plymouth.
- Field of study: Any subject is fine.
- Where you go: You study on campus in Plymouth, United Kingdom.
- Nationality: Any country can apply. This scholarship is aimed at international students.
- Grades: You hold a bachelor's degree equal to a UK honours degree. The mark you need depends on your country: a GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 for US degrees, 65% or higher for Indian degrees, or 75 to 80% for Chinese degrees.
How to apply
There is no separate application. The university considers everyone who applies for a September 2013 taught master's, as long as you submitted your final transcript with your application. If you qualify, your offer letter tells you about the scholarship. There is no fixed deadline, but apply as early as you can, especially because of the visa process.
