University of South Wales - Chancellors International Development Scholarships

What you get

You will receive a £2,500 per year (about 2,900 EUR) discount on your tuition fees for the every year of your degree programme at the University of South Wales in the United Kingdom. If you confirm your place early, a separate amount of £500 bonus (approx. 580 EUR) will be added, bringing the total to £3,000 per year (approx. 3,500 EUR). ‘Early’ means that you are CAS-ready (your place has been fully confirmed) by 31 May for a September start, or by 31 October for a January or February start. This funding replaces the university’s standard Bachelor’s and Master’s scholarships, so you cannot combine it with them.

Who can apply

• Degree level: You are starting a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Students studying for a ‘Higher National Diploma’ or a ‘Foundation Degree’ are not eligible to apply.
• Where you study: You are studying at the University of South Wales in the UK.
• Field of study: Any subject.
• Nationality: You are from one of the eligible countries in Africa, Latin America, South Asia, South-East Asia, Central Asia and Turkey, the Caribbean, as well as Norway, Bahrain, Lebanon and Albania. Please check the university’s list of countries to ensure that your country is included.
• Self-funding: You must cover the international tuition fees yourself. Students who receive funding from a government or a company are not eligible to apply.
• Course type: Does not apply to English language courses, international preparatory programmes or internship years.

How to apply

No separate application is required. Your application will be considered automatically when you apply to study at the University of South Wales, and the scholarship will be confirmed in your offer letter. To secure the scholarship, please pay the minimum deposit specified in your offer letter by the date stated therein.

How realistic are your chances?

This is not a selection process with a limited number of places. If you are from an eligible country, cover your own tuition fees and enrol on a qualifying degree programme, you will automatically be awarded the grant. This means you stand a good chance of receiving it, provided you meet the criteria. If you confirm your place at university early, you’ll receive the £500 bonus – so it’s worth acting quickly.
