About this scholarship

Two scholarships for international students at Mantova Campus

The Mantova Campus of Politecnico di Milano offers two options for international students, and you can win either or both. The first is a one-off cash prize of EUR 1,200 gross for the best-admitted international students on the Master's in Architectural Design and History. There are 5 of these prizes. The second is a Silver Merit scholarship: a full tuition-fee waiver for the whole academic year, worth about EUR 3,886. You then pay only a non-refundable admin fee of around EUR 170. There are 10 Silver waivers shared across the Cremona, Lecco, Mantova and Piacenza campuses. Both awards go to international students who enrol in the first year of a Master of Science in 2026/2027.

Who can apply

  • Degree level: You are starting the first year of a Master of Science (Laurea Magistrale) in 2026/2027.
  • Where you study: The Mantova Campus of Politecnico di Milano.
  • Background: You hold a previous academic degree from outside Italy.
  • Field (cash prize): For the EUR 1,200 prize you must be admitted to the Master's in Architectural Design and History, with an admission score (Grade CCS) of at least 60 out of 100.
  • Field (tuition waiver): For the Silver waiver, any Master of Science taught in English at Mantova qualifies.
  • Language: For the Silver waiver you provide a valid English certificate by 21 February 2026.
  • Early application (Silver only): You submit your admission application and pay the application fee during the Early Bird window, 1 October to 1 December 2025.
  • Grades: Selection weighs your previous academic record, GPA and, where asked, your portfolio. In a tie, the youngest candidate wins.

How to apply

You apply through the Politecnico di Milano Online Services, under the economic benefits section. For the Silver waiver, the scholarship form is open from 15 October to 15 December 2025 (noon Italian time). For the EUR 1,200 architecture prize, applications run from 14 September to 13 November 2026 (noon). The architecture ranking is drawn automatically from admission scores and published by 15 December 2026.

How realistic are your chances?

The EUR 1,200 prize is narrow: only 5 go to international students on one specific Master's, and the winners are simply the highest admission scores. A strong CCS result decides it. The Silver waiver is more contested, since 10 places are shared across four campuses and any English-taught Master qualifies. With a strong academic record and the Early Bird deadline met, your prospects are solid. Miss that early window and you are ruled out of the waiver entirely.
