About this scholarship

Politecnico di Bari scholarship for international Master's students

You get 4,500 EUR per academic year (before tax) to study a two-year Master's degree (Laurea Magistrale) at the Politecnico di Bari in Italy. Your tuition fees are also fully waived each year you are enrolled. Only a small regional tax and stamp duty remain. The scholarship runs for the full length of your degree. You can receive it again in your second year if you earn at least 24 ECTS credits and enrol on time. The university awards 14 of these scholarships for 2025/26.

Who can apply

  • Degree: You are enrolling full time in a Master's programme (Laurea Magistrale) at the Politecnico di Bari.
  • First enrolment: This is your first year on the programme. Transfers from another course or university, or enrolling in a later year, do not count.
  • Nationality: You are not an Italian citizen and you live abroad.
  • Prior degree: You earned the qualification that lets you enter the programme at a university outside Italy.
  • No double funding: You do not hold another scholarship from the Politecnico di Bari, the Italian Foreign Ministry (MAECI), the CRUI, a foreign government, or ADISU Puglia.

How to apply

You apply online through the university's ESSE3 system with your student login, under the menu item 'Iniziative'. The window runs from 2 October 2025 to 12:00 on 31 January 2026. You submit an ID, a CV, a motivation letter and a reference letter, all in Italian or English. Selection is based on your CV, your documents and a motivational interview, which can be held by video call.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is cut narrowly: only non-Italian students living abroad, enrolling for the first time in a Master's at this one university, qualify. That keeps the eligible group small. With 14 scholarships on offer, prospects are reasonable if you fit. The interview carries 60 of the 100 points, so a strong, well-prepared interview is what decides it. Apply well before the January deadline.
