Compricer Economics Scholarship

You get a one-off prize of 20,000 SEK (about 1,750 EUR) for the best thesis on economics or personal finance written in the past year. If several authors wrote the thesis together, the money is split equally between them. The prize comes from Compricer AB, a Swedish price-comparison service for personal finance. The winner pays any tax on the prize.

Who can apply

• Your thesis: You wrote a C- or D-level thesis (a bachelor's or master's-level thesis in the Swedish system) within the past year.
• Where you studied: You wrote it at a Swedish university or university college, and you can prove you were enrolled there when you handed it in.
• Topic: Your thesis covers economics or personal finance. Topics like mortgages, car or home insurance and electricity contracts are welcome, but any economics or personal-finance subject can enter.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply, as long as you studied at a Swedish institution.
• Not eligible: Employees of Compricer AB, its partners and their family members cannot take part.

How to apply

You send your thesis by email to Compricer. Include your name, your institution, your study programme and a short summary of the thesis and its main conclusions. The deadline is 30 September 2026. A jury of Compricer staff announces the winner by November 2026.

How realistic are your chances?

This is a prize for a finished thesis, so a single strong piece of work carries you, not a long application. The field is limited to economics and personal-finance theses from Swedish institutions, and topics close to Compricer's own work stand out. Only one thesis wins each year, so quality decides: a well-argued paper with genuinely new insight has real prospects.
