About this scholarship

Graphic Companies' Federation scholarship

You will receive a grant to help fund a specific professional activity within the Swedish graphics industry. This may involve a study trip, an international course, a conference or seminar, a visit to a trade fair, or the production of teaching materials. There are no fixed amount: you specify what you need and list the costs in detail; the foundation then decides on a case-by-case basis. The funding comes from the scholarship foundations of the Association of Graphic Companies (Grafiska Företagen), which support education and research in the graphic arts sector.

Who can apply

  • Who you are: You are a student, a researcher, or a teacher at a graphic-industry training institution in Sweden.
  • Field: Your work must be in the field of graphic production. The programme is not intended for graphic design, art or similar creative degree programmes.
  • What you fund: Students apply for class activities done for study. Researchers apply for seminars and similar events. Teachers apply for continuing education in their subject, or other activities that help training at their school.
  • Clear purpose: Your trip, course or event needs a clearly defined objective.
  • Nationality: All nationalities can apply.
  • What is not covered: You must not use the grant to cover living costs, to purchase equipment such as a computer, or for any other expenses that would normally be covered by your employer.

How to apply

There is no application form. Please send us a brief, clear application by email. Please include details of your professional experience, your educational background, your current role, the planned activity and its purpose, the dates and scope, as well as the amount requested, together with a detailed breakdown of costs. The deadline for applications is 20 February.

How realistic are your chances?

This grant is strictly limited in scope. It is aimed exclusively at people who work in the field of graphic production in Sweden or are undertaking training in this field, and is intended to fund a specific project, not your general studies. The target group is therefore small. If you clearly fall into this category and can present a clearly defined plan with detailed costs that your employer would not normally cover, your chances are good. A specific, well-justified proposal is more important here than a polished profile.
