Stockholm School of Economics - SSE MBA-stipendiet

What you get

You get the full tuition fee of the SSE MBA Executive Format covered, worth SEK 645,000 (about 59,000 EUR) plus VAT. This is a part-time MBA that runs over 18 months in English. You study in modules in Stockholm (Sweden), Riga (Latvia), Singapore (with the National University of Singapore) and Silicon Valley (with Stanford). On top of the MBA degree, you earn three extra certificates from Stanford CGOE, NUS and the Global Network for Advanced Management. The Stockholm School of Economics awards the scholarship together with Norrsken and utbildning.se, normally to one person per year. Note that living costs, accommodation and travel are not covered.

Who can apply

• Degree: You hold at least a bachelor's degree.
• Work experience: You have at least five years of relevant professional experience.
• What you do: You work to improve society, for example in education, inclusion, sustainability or social impact.
• Leadership: You can lead and work well with others.
• English: You have strong English. You need a recognised English test, unless English is your native language or you studied full time in English for at least a year.
• Nationality: Open to all nationalities.

How to apply

You apply through utbildning.se, either for yourself or by nominating someone you believe in. The deadline is in mid-June (15 June for the 2026 round). You hear during the summer whether you reach the next stage. Finalists then submit a full application for the SSE MBA Executive Format, and a jury makes the final decision.

How realistic are your chances?

Only one scholarship is awarded each year, so this is a single high-profile award rather than a broad one. It targets experienced professionals with a real track record of social impact, which narrows the field to a specific profile. If you fit that profile, hold the required degree and five years of experience, and can show concrete impact in areas like education, inclusion or sustainability, you have a genuine shot. Clear evidence of your impact matters more than polished wording.
