Outstanding Achievement Award (NTU)

You get £1,000 per year (about 1,150 EUR) for the length of your first degree at Nottingham Trent University (NTU). The money is paid straight into your bank account in two instalments: the first in February, the second in May. It is real cash, not a discount on your tuition bill. You get it for every year of your course except any work-placement year. You can also hold it alongside other NTU scholarships, such as the NTU International Excellence Scholarship. The award comes from NTU for students who move up into the university from its own foundation route.

Who can apply

• Your route to NTU: You move up to a full NTU degree from the Nottingham Trent International College (NTIC) or the Kaplan Digital Pathway. If you enrolled directly at NTU without this route, you cannot get the award.
• Grades: You finish your NTIC or Pathway course with an overall mark of 70% or more.
• Nationality: Open to international students on these preparation courses.
• Field of study: Open to all subjects.

How to apply

There is no application and no deadline. If you reach 70% or more on your NTIC or Pathway course, you get the award automatically. An email confirms it at the start of your second semester at NTU.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is not a contest. Everyone on the NTIC or Kaplan Digital Pathway route who hits the 70% mark gets it. If you are on that route, the only thing in your control is your grade. Reach 70% and the money follows, with no one to compete against.
