About this scholarship

Benefit

You will receive a grant of about 590 to 2,300 EUR (£500 to £2,000) for one academic year of postgraduate study in the United Kingdom. As this is a partial scholarship, it will only cover part of your costs, so you will need additional funding. If your course lasts longer than one year, you may reapply each year; however, further funding will not be granted automatically. The funding is provided by the Anglo-Israel Association, a UK charity that promotes relations between the UK and Israel.

Eligibility

  • Nationality: You are an Israeli citizen.
  • Level: You already hold a university degree and are now starting a postgraduate programme or a research project.
  • Where you study: You are studying full-time at a recognised British university or college.
  • Field of study: Any topic is fine.
  • UK base: You have an address in the UK and a UK bank account in your name.

How to apply

Please complete the application form and send it, together with your CV, your university enrolment certificate, two letters of reference and a short personal statement, to the Anglo-Israel Association. All documents must be received by 30 April. Decisions on the award of scholarships are made once a year on the basis of the documents you have submitted.

How realistic are your chances?

As only Israeli citizens undertaking postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom are eligible for funding, the pool of applicants is small, comprising around 70 people per year. If you clearly meet these criteria and submit a complete, well-reasoned application, your prospects are quite good. Please bear in mind that the scholarship is only supplementary funding; you must therefore also explain how you will finance the remainder of your studies.
