About this scholarship
The TI Group Undergraduate Scholarship
You will receive about 2,320 EUR per year (£2,000) for up to three years whilst you complete your engineering degree at the University of Birmingham. The TI Group awards five of these scholarships each year. You will continue to receive the funding in subsequent years, provided you maintain a grade of 2:1 or better (a very good mark in the upper second-class range). If you spend a year working in industry or studying abroad, payments will be suspended for that year and resumed upon your return.
Who can apply
- Level: You are a student on a first-cycle degree programme (Bachelor’s).
- Year: At the time of applying, you will be in your second year of study.
- Field of study: You’re studying engineering.
- University: You’re studying at the University of Birmingham.
- Grades: Your results from your first year of study are taken into account when the awards are made.
- Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, including students from the United Kingdom, the EU and non-EU countries.
How to apply
Applications are made via an online form on the university’s website.
How realistic are your chances?
The target group is small: you must already be enrolled in the second year of an engineering degree in Birmingham and have achieved good grades in your first year. As only five scholarships are awarded each year, your grades will determine whether you are successful, but a suitable applicant with solid first-year grades stands a good chance.
