Scholarship for women in engineering and physical sciences at Heriot-Watt

You will receive about 575 EUR per year (GBP 500) for the duration of your bachelor’s degree, up to a maximum of five years. Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh has set up this scholarship to encourage more women to study technical and scientific subjects. The number of scholarships awarded each year varies.

Who can apply

• Gender: You are a woman.
• Subject: You are studying a technical or scientific degree at Heriot-Watt University, such as engineering, physics, chemistry, computer science or mathematics.
• Level: You are currently completing your first (Bachelor’s) degree.
• Where you live: You are resident in the United Kingdom or in another EU country.

Please ask the admissions officer for your degree programme for an application form. In the last documented application round, the deadline was 6 June.

How realistic are your chances?

The scholarship is aimed at a small target group: female students studying a technical or scientific subject at a specific university. This keeps the number of applicants low, meaning that a suitable candidate has a good chance of success. Please note that this was last confirmed for the 2015 intake and the scholarship may no longer be available.
