About this scholarship

Hedorf's Foundation travel grant

You will receive DKK 25,000 (about 3,350 EUR) as a one-off travel allowance for a study period abroad in the field of freight transport and trade. The money is intended to cover the higher costs associated with a stay abroad, such as accommodation and living expenses. The grant is awarded by the Hedorf Foundation, a Danish foundation based in Frederiksberg which supports education in the fields of trade and transport.

Who can apply

  • Work or internship: You work at a freight transport company, or you are a student doing an internship at one.
  • Field of study: Your degree programme abroad must have a clear focus on freight transport and trade. As many degree programmes include general content relating to supply chain management and logistics, your application must clearly demonstrate that the focus is on transport.
  • Length of stay: Your stay abroad will last at least 3 months.
  • Where you go: You are studying outside Denmark.
  • Nationality: All nationalities can apply.
  • University: Any institution is fine.
  • Feedback: After your trip, you will report back to the foundation. You may also be asked to give a presentation at one of its events on what you have learnt during your trip.

How to apply

Apply for the grant once a year by email to the Foundation, by 1 October. Please enclose your certificate of enrolment, a breakdown of costs and a description of the course content with your application.
