Henry and Astrid Møller's Foundation grant

You will receive funding to cover the costs of studying at a university abroad. The amount is not published Foundation assesses each application on a case-by-case basis, and the sources do not specify a fixed funding period. The foundation was established in 2004 from the estate of Astrid Elisabeth Bernhardina Møller and is administered by a Copenhagen-based law firm. It supports two groups: young Danish students at a university in Sweden and young Swedish students at a university in Denmark.

Who can apply

• Where you study: You are a Danish student enrolled at a university in Sweden, or a Swedish student enrolled at a university in Denmark.
• Nationality: You are Danish (and studying in Sweden) or Swedish (and studying in Denmark). Please state your nationality in your application.
• Field of study: The topic is open. Please state your department in your application.
• Grades: Your academic performance is taken into account, as applications are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
• Age: Aimed at young pupils. No specific age limit is given.

How to apply

Please apply via the Foundation’s online portal by the annual application deadline on 15 November. Please include a short letter of motivation, a budget breakdown and your annual tax assessment. If you have not received a reply by 1 February, your application was unsuccessful.

How realistic are your chances?

This funding scheme is very narrowly defined. You must either be Danish and studying in Sweden, or Swedish and studying in Denmark, which means that the pool of eligible applicants remains small. If you clearly meet this cross-border criterion and submit a well-reasoned justification and a sound financial plan, your prospects are good. As the amount of funding is not published and each case is assessed individually, a clear, well-documented application is more important than a particularly elaborate one.
