About this scholarship

What you get

You get money for a study stay abroad if you study engineering in building and construction. The amount is not published. It is worked out from the budget you hand in. The money comes from the Larsen & Nielsen Foundation (Larsen & Nielsen Fonden), a Danish foundation set up by engineers R.A. Larsen and Axel Nielsen to support research and education in construction, with a focus on industrial building and concrete structures.

Who can apply

  • Field of study: You are studying civil engineering. Architecture students are not eligible to apply.
  • Where you go: The stay must take place abroad, not in Denmark.
  • Timing: Your stay must not have begun before you have received the grant.
  • Sustainability link preferred: Plans that focus on sustainability take priority over your marks.
  • Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
  • University: Any university is fine.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted via the Foundation’s online form (Grant Compass). You must submit a PDF file containing your personal statement, your CV and a budget for your stay. There are two application deadlines each year: 1 March for a stay in the coming autumn and 1 October for a stay in the coming spring. Only successful applicants will be notified.
