About this scholarship

Benefit

At the Universitat Abat Oliba CEU (UAO CEU) in Barcelona, you can receive a 20% discount on the tuition fees for a second bachelor’s degree. This is aimed at those who have already obtained a bachelor’s degree from the same university and wish to study for a further one there. The discount is available under the university’s own financial support scheme, the ‘Programa de Ayudas al Estudio’ (PAE).

Eligibility

  • Where you study: You will complete both your first and second degrees at the Universitat Abat Oliba CEU in Barcelona.
  • Your first degree: You have obtained a Bachelor’s degree from this university. You also meet the requirements if you have passed all your exams except for the final dissertation (Trabajo de Fin de Grado). In this case, you must be registered for the final dissertation and undertake to complete it within one year.
  • Timing: You are starting your second degree within three years of completing your first.
  • Field of study: Any subject.
  • Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
  • Keeping the discount: In order to renew this each year, you must pass 100% of the credit points (ECTS) for which you are enrolled on your second degree programme.

How to apply

First, start the application process via the UAO CEU applicant portal. Then submit your application for financial support via the university’s intranet. The discount is currently available for the academic year 2026–2027.

How realistic are your chances?

This discount is very narrowly defined. Only graduates of this particular university who commence a second bachelor’s degree there within three years are eligible to apply, meaning that very few people are competing for it. If you meet these conditions and pass all your modules, your chances are good. This is a rules-based tuition fee reduction, not a competition for a limited number of places.
