Summer scholarship for Umeå University

You will receive a one-off grant of 178 EUR to spend a summer at Umeå University in Sweden, a large state university with around 37,000 students. The University of Alcalá (UAH), near Madrid, awards this grant as part of its student exchange programme with partner universities abroad. It covers a short summer stay; you should therefore regard it as a contribution towards travel or living costs rather than full funding.

• Where you study: You are a student at the University of Alcalá.
• Where you go: You’re spending the summer at Umeå University in Sweden.
• Field of study: You’re studying chemistry, biology or environmental sciences.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

Apply via the University of Alcalá by 22 April.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is very specific. You must already be studying at the University of Alcalá, be enrolled on one of the few science degree programmes, and wish to study at one of these partner universities. This means the pool of eligible applicants is small; so if you clearly meet the requirements and apply before the deadline in April, your chances are good.
