About this scholarship
Psychiatry Research Foundation scholarship
You will receive a research grant of a few thousand euros, which is paid out once a year. The money is intended to support psychiatric research involving human subjects, not animals or cells. The grant comes from the Foundation for Psychiatric Research (in Finnish: Psykiatrian Tutkimussäätiö sr), an independent organisation that has been supporting Finnish research in the field of mental health since 1971.
Who can apply
- Research stage: You are a young researcher who is currently writing your PhD thesis.
- Topic: Your field of research is psychiatry, and your work focuses on people. The Foundation does not fund research involving animals or cells, nor does it award travel grants.
- Background: Applicants from all educational and professional backgrounds are welcome. Previous winners have included doctors, psychologists and other researchers.
- Where you research: You work at a Finnish university.
- Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
How to apply
