About this scholarship

CEDAR Chair Scholarship

You will receive your tuition fees covered plus part of your living costs for the entire duration of two years of a Master’s programme at ISAE-SUPAERO in Toulouse, France. The aircraft manufacturer Airbus funds the scholarship through the Fondation ISAE-SUPAERO as part of the CEDAR partnership (‘Chair for Eco-Design of Aircraft’), which is committed to developing more environmentally friendly and sustainable aircraft. Only 3 scholarships are awarded each year.

Who can apply

  • What you study: You are applying for the Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering (or the French engineering degree) at ISAE-SUPAERO.
  • Your background: You already hold a bachelor’s degree (or have completed a three-year university course) in an engineering discipline such as aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electronics, electrical engineering or telecommunications.
  • Grades: You have achieved excellent results at school.
  • English: The degree programme is taught entirely in English, so a good command of English is required. Your English test results must be submitted by 30 November.
  • Nationality: Open to all nationalities.
  • New student: You are not yet enrolled at ISAE-SUPAERO.
  • Motivation: You are interested in aviation and, ideally, would like to reduce the environmental impact of air travel.

How to apply

Apply for the Master’s programme via the ISAE-SUPAERO admissions platform. As part of your application, please upload a personal statement for the Fondation ISAE-SUPAERO scholarship. Please submit your complete application, including your English language test results, by 30 November. The results will be published on the platform in early February.

How realistic are your chances?

As only 3 scholarships are awarded each year to top international students in a specialised field of aerospace engineering, competition for these scholarships is fierce. If you have excellent academic results, a relevant background in engineering and a genuine interest in sustainable aircraft design, this is the right opportunity for you. Please submit all your documents, including your English language test results, in good time before the deadline on 30 November.
