About this award / prize
What you get
Your group receives a grant to carry out its own project. The best projects can go on to win 1,500 to 2,500 EUR at national level. The call is run by MSA Ain-Rhône, the social security fund for farming and rural workers in the Ain and Rhône area.
It works in two rounds. First, a local MSA jury picks projects and gives them grants. The jury then puts some of these projects forward to the national round, where the 1,500 to 2,500 EUR awards are given. From the moment you sign up, a youth contact person at the MSA supports your group throughout the project. There are separate categories for 11 to 15-year-olds and 16 to 22-year-olds, plus special prizes such as one for agriculture and food. The amount of the local grant is not published.
Who can apply
- Group: You apply as a group of at least 3 young people, not alone.
- Age: Everyone in the group is between 11 and 22 years old.
- Where you live: You are insured with the MSA, or you live in a rural area.
- School or studies: Anyone in this age range can take part, whether or not you are in school or studying. What counts is your project.
- Project topic: Your project deals with one of these themes: agriculture and food; culture, sport and leisure; the social and solidarity economy (businesses and associations that put people before profit); environment and sustainability; inclusion of vulnerable people; fighting violence and discrimination; or health prevention.
How to apply
Register with the youth contact person at MSA Ain-Rhône, then hand in an application file for your project. The contact person tells you the deadline. The jury looks at how involved your group is, what difference the project makes locally, how much it helps others, and how original and well prepared it is.
