Banque Populaire disability project grant

You will receive a one-off grant of up to 15,000 EUR (from 1,000 euros) to help fund an ambitious life project. You can use this to set up a business, fund your studies, retrain for a new career, develop an artistic endeavour or launch a high-level sporting career. In addition to the financial support, the Foundation’s team and the Banque Populaire network will provide you with direct assistance in bringing your project to fruition. The grant may be awarded for up to 3 years, provided the jury reviews and approves your application again. It is provided by the Fondation d’entreprise Banque Populaire in France, which has been supporting people with disabilities since 1992.

Who can apply

• Age: You are above 18 and below 50.
• Disability: You have a motor or sensory disability, i.e. a hearing or visual impairment.
• Recognised level: Your degree of disability is greater than 50%, as confirmed by the MDPH (the French Departmental Office for People with Disabilities).
• Where the project happens: You are carrying out your project in France, including the overseas territories (DOM-TOM).
• Field: Any project is eligible: a degree course, retraining, the arts, elite sport or setting up a business. The funding does not apply to technical aids, the purchase or modification of a vehicle, or the sponsorship of events.
• One shot: You may only apply once. If your application is rejected, you will not be able to apply again.

How to apply

Please submit your complete application online via the Foundation’s platform between 29 June and 6 September 2026. Incomplete applications will not be considered. First, a pre-selection panel will review the applications. A specialist panel will then assess your application – with or without an interview – before the Executive Board makes the final decision.

How realistic are your chances?

This grant scheme is very narrowly defined. You must have a recognised degree of disability of over 50%, be younger than 50, and carry out your project in France. This narrows down the pool of eligible applicants. The jury is looking for a realistic, original project driven by a strong personality – not merely a response to a need. A clear and convincing plan is therefore of the utmost importance. As you only have one chance, you should prepare a complete, well-documented application dossier before submitting your application.
