About this scholarship

Benefit

The students received a one-off grant of at least about 3,450 EUR (3,000 GBP) for their first year of study at the University of Salford in England. The funding came from the British Government’s national scholarship programme, which the university supplemented with its own funds.

It was not always in the form of cash. The support could take the form of an exemption from tuition fees or a discount, a free foundation year (a preparatory year before starting a degree), more affordable accommodation or a cash grant (a sum of money that you are allowed to keep) with an upper limit of around 1,150 EUR (1,000 GBP). It applied only to the first year and was not granted again in subsequent years.

This programme has ended and no longer accepts applications. It applied only to students who began their first year of study during the periods 2012/13, 2013/14 and 2014/15, and was discontinued from 2015.
