About this scholarship
The Mishcon Bursary
You will receive a one-off grant as financial support for your law degree at University College London (UCL). The amount of the scholarship is not fixed. It depends on how many scholarships are awarded in any given year and therefore varies from year to year. The funding is valid for one academic year. It may be extended for up to two further years if you continue to make good progress, meaning it can cover a total of up to three years. Lord Mishcon established the scholarship in 1992, and it is awarded by the Faculty of Law at UCL.
Who can apply
- Degree: You are studying law (LLB) at UCL.
- Where you study: You are enrolled at University College London in the United Kingdom.
- Nationality: All nationalities can apply.
- Financial need: You can provide evidence that you need financial support to fund your studies.
- Grades: You have an excellent academic record.
How realistic are your chances?
Only UCL law students who can demonstrate both financial need and good academic results are eligible, so the group of eligible students is small. If you clearly meet both criteria and can prove your financial need, your prospects are quite good. Please note: This programme is no longer listed on UCL’s current pages on funding for law studies, so it may no longer be open to new applicants.
