Students studying in Germany have access to a variety of well-established public schemes that provide financial support while they are studying. One quarter of students at German Higher Education Institutions receive government support in one form or another. In addition, there are educational and student loans available from banks and education funds offered by private companies and various institutions that function like a bank loan.
