Grants and Loans in Spain

Spain has a distinctive system of grant support for students. 27% of students receive some kind of grant while studying at an Institute of Higher Education. Grants are provided at national, regional and local levels, since the Spanish political system is quite de-centralized. There is, however, no overall national scheme for student loans.
