University of Limerick - Food Science and Health Academic Achievement Award

What you get

You will receive a one-off cash prize of around 250 EUR, which will be presented to you at the university’s end-of-summer graduation ceremony. The money comes from the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Limerick in Ireland and is awarded to one student each year. The exact amount may vary, as the prize is funded by a sponsor. The university’s current webpage simply refers to a ‘cash prize’ without specifying an amount.

Who can get it

• Degree: You study the B.Sc. in Food and Health Science (course code LM068) at the University of Limerick.
• Study stage: You are in the final year of this degree programme.
• Grades: You have the highest QCA of all students in the final year of this degree programme. QCA stands for ‘Quality Credit Average’ and refers to the Irish grade average, which works in a similar way to the GPA.
• Nationality: Applicants of any nationality may apply, provided they attend the course.

How to apply

No application is required. The award is automatically presented to the final-year student with the best QCA result and is presented at the graduation ceremony in the summer.
