About this scholarship
Opportunity Scholarship at Griffith College
You get your full tuition fees covered, including the registration fee, for the entire length of your course. That usually means 3 to 4 years, depending on the programme. Griffith College, a private college in Ireland, gives the award and waives the fees you would otherwise pay to study there. You take up the place in the year it is offered, because it cannot be deferred or moved to another year. The scholarship does not cover accommodation, living costs or travel. You pay for those yourself.
Who can apply
- Course: You apply for a Level 7 or Level 8 course at Griffith College through the CAO (Central Applications Office), the body that handles college applications in Ireland. Courses run with Pulse College are not included.
- Where you come from: You are a current Irish Leaving Certificate student, a student on a PLC (further education) course in Ireland or Northern Ireland, or a school student from Northern Ireland. You move straight from school or further education into the college course.
- Age: You are under 23 years old.
- Financial need: You show proof of your parents' or guardians' income. The scholarship is aimed at students who could not otherwise afford the fees of a private college.
- Not for overseas applicants: You cannot get this scholarship if you apply from overseas.
How to apply
You fill in the online application form on the Griffith College website. For the 2026/2027 cycle it opens on 9 November 2026 and closes on 23 April 2027. If you get through, you attend a short interview (about 15 to 30 minutes) at your campus with the Schools Liaison Officer and an independent guidance counsellor. For design courses you also bring an art portfolio on the interview day. You hear the result about a week later.
