About this scholarship
Benefit
You get a one-off scholarship of 500 EUR for doing the most to promote the Irish language. The Marino Institute of Education (MIE) in Dublin awards it. It is one of up to 20 scholarships MIE gives each year across five categories, including this Irish-language one (Cur Chun Cinn na Gaeilge). MIE also accepts other Irish-language scholarships awarded elsewhere, such as Gaeltacht and Commemoration Scholarships, which are based on your Leaving Certificate results (the Irish school-leaving exam).
Eligibility
- Where you study: You are an undergraduate student at the Marino Institute of Education in Dublin, Ireland.
- Entry route: You applied through the CAO (Central Applications Office), the national system for applying to Irish undergraduate courses.
- Irish language: You have worked to promote and use the Irish language, and you show this in your application.
- Field of study: Any undergraduate programme at MIE counts.
