Grenoble INP Foundation Scholarship

You will receive up to 5,000 EUR per semester for one or two semesters, amounting to a maximum of 10,000 euros in total. As this is a partial scholarship, it covers only part of your costs, not all of them. It is intended to help you complete an English-taught international Master’s or post-Master’s programme at the Grenoble Institute of Technology (Grenoble INP) in Grenoble, France. The funding comes from the Fondation Grenoble INP, which is financed by alumni, parents and partner companies.

Who can apply

• Degree level: You are applying for a Master’s or post-Master’s programme. To apply for a Master’s programme, you must hold a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification. To apply for a post-Master’s programme, you must have completed at least five years of higher education.
• Programme: You are enrolled on one of the eligible, English-taught international degree programmes at Grenoble INP, for example in the fields of engineering, computer science, mathematics, materials science or cyber security.
• Age: You are under 28.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Language: Lessons are taught in English. If English is not your first language, you must provide an official test result, such as TOEFL or TOEIC. Knowledge of French is not required.
• Results: You have achieved excellent grades, as evidenced by your school reports, letters of recommendation and an academic paper.

How to apply

You cannot apply for the scholarship separately. First, you must apply for the international Master’s programme and apply for the scholarship as part of that application, for example by ticking the box ‘I am applying for a French scholarship’. The application deadline for the Master’s programme is 28 February. Exchange students must apply by 15 March. A foundation committee will then select the best candidates based on their grades, references and academic project.

How realistic are your chances?

The scholarship is linked to a range of English-taught degree programmes at a specific university, meaning that the pool of applicants is significantly smaller than for open international scholarships. The number of scholarships is limited and selection is based on academic results; therefore, good academic records and a compelling research project are of crucial importance. If you are already a competitive candidate for one of the eligible Master’s programmes and apply by the deadline, your chances are good.
