Bicocca International Scholarship Programme (BISP)

You get 10,000 EUR per year (gross) plus a full waiver of tuition fees to study at the University of Milano-Bicocca in Italy. The award is annual. The university gives out 100 scholarships in total, 5 per English-taught programme, to the top-ranked students in each Bachelor's, Master's and single-cycle Master's degree taught in English. A single-cycle Master's is a long degree, such as Medicine, that combines Bachelor and Master into one programme.

Who can apply

• Where you study: You apply to an English-taught degree at the University of Milano-Bicocca in Milan.
• Degree level: Bachelor's, Master's or single-cycle Master's programmes taught in English.
• Field of study: Any subject taught in English at the university.
• Nationality: You are not an Italian citizen. If you hold dual citizenship that includes Italian, you can still apply.
• Where you live: You live outside Italy when you apply.
• Previous qualification: You earned your last degree or diploma abroad.
• Grades: You rank among the best applicants to your programme, so strong results matter.

How to apply

Everyone admitted to an eligible programme is considered automatically, so there is no separate scholarship application. Apply for your degree through the Apply@Unimib portal within an admission window for 2026/27. Then confirm your enrolment by the deadline for your course (for open-access programmes, by 15 March 2026). Applicants from the first admission call have priority.

How realistic are your chances?

The programme is generous but selective: only the 5 highest-ranked students in each English-taught course get an award. Your prospects depend on how strong your grades are compared with the other applicants to your programme, and on applying in the first call, which has priority. If you have excellent results and target a less crowded course, your chances are real.
