Ca' Foscari University of Venice - Voucher International College

What you get

If you are accepted onto the Ca’ Foscari International College in Venice, you will pay almost nothing for your studies there. The voucher covers your annual tuition fees, the additional college programme taught in English – comprising lectures and tutorials – as well as 10 months’ accommodation at the Camplus Santa Marta hall of residence in the historic centre of Venice. You only pay a small annual contribution yourself: 750 EUR per year.

In addition, you will receive personalised academic guidance (one-to-one support from a lecturer), interdisciplinary courses and workshops, as well as a compulsory study or work placement abroad. You will also become part of an Italian and international student network. The College is a Centre of Excellence at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, recognised by the Italian Ministry of University and Research. Each year, it admits 12 new undergraduate students and 8 new postgraduate students.

How to apply

First, apply for admission to your chosen degree programme at Ca’ Foscari via apply.unive.it. You should then respond to the call for applications from the International College for your year of study. The calls for applications for the coming academic year are published on the College’s website in the spring. Places are allocated on the basis of academic merit, with applicants ranked and compared against one another.

How realistic are your chances?

The university admits only 12 undergraduate and 8 postgraduate students each year and selects them strictly on the basis of academic performance, so competition is really fierce. Your grades, letters of recommendation, motivation video and language certificate all play a part – so prepare each one carefully, rather than relying solely on your grades. If your academic achievements are well above average and your chosen degree programme is a good fit for Ca’ Foscari, you’ll have the best chance of success if you apply as soon as the application period opens.
