Tilburg University - University of Liberia Scholarship

You get a 15,000 EUR grant for living costs plus a 50% cut on your tuition fee for a one-year master's programme at Tilburg Law School in the Netherlands. Living costs in Tilburg are about 1,000 to 1,200 EUR per month, so the grant covers most of that. Tilburg University gives out only one such scholarship per year, to bring students and staff from the University of Liberia to Tilburg.

Who can apply

• Your link to Liberia: You are a student or teaching staff member at the University of Liberia.
• Degree: You have finished a bachelor's degree relevant to your chosen master's.
• Where you study: You are admitted to a one-year master's at Tilburg Law School starting in September. A conditional admission counts.
• English: You meet the English-language requirements of your chosen master's programme. You do not need a GMAT or GRE test for this scholarship.
• Not eligible: Pre-master's students cannot apply.

How to apply

Do two things by 1 April: apply for admission to your chosen master's, and submit the University of Liberia Scholarship web form with a motivation letter. In the letter, explain who you are, why you apply, what you would bring to the university, and your career goals. You hear back by mid-June.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is narrow: only current University of Liberia students or staff qualify, and just one place is given each year. So the eligible group is small, but that single spot means real competition within it. Your motivation letter and academic record decide who wins. If you clearly fit the criteria and make a strong, specific case, your prospects are fair.
