University of Madeira - Santander Luso-Brasilian Scholarships - for UMA students to study one semester in a Brasilian University

What the scholarship gives you

You receive 383 EUR to help cover living costs while you spend one semester (about 6 months) at a public university in Brazil. The money comes from Santander Universities and is paid through the University of Madeira (Universidade da Madeira, UMA). You can pick from 19 Brazilian partner universities, including the University of Sao Paulo (USP), UNICAMP, UNESP and several federal universities.

Who can apply

• Your university: You are enrolled at the University of Madeira in Funchal, Portugal.
• Degree level: You are studying for a bachelor's degree (licenciatura).
• Field of study: Any subject.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply, as long as you study at the University of Madeira.
• Where you go: You want to study one semester at one of the 19 participating Brazilian universities.

How to apply

You submit a pre-registration form to the University of Madeira's Projects and Cooperation Office (Unidade de Projetos e Cooperacao). A committee then selects the recipients and shares out the grants among the partner universities.
