About this scholarship

Montijo higher education scholarship

You will receive 1,000 EUR for one academic year if you are studying at university, live in the Montijo area and your family is on a low income. The money is intended to cover study-related costs such as accommodation, meals, travel expenses, study materials and tuition fees. It is paid out in two equal instalments. The Câmara Municipal do Montijo (Montijo Town Council) funds the grant to help retain local students within the education system. The scholarship is valid for one year only and is not automatically renewed, so you must reapply each year. There are 11 scholarships available for 2026/27.
