General Description

The La Caixa Foundation and The National Center of Cardiovascular Research (CNIC) provide support for graduate students to carry out experimental research in pursuit of a PhD from CINC. The fellowships include full financial support, including tuition fees and health insurance. Students will be employed on a contract basis with a salary ranging between 18,546 Euros the first year and 22,558 Euros in the fourth year. Additionally, there is an annual allowance of 1,500 Euros the first two years, and 1,700 Euros for the third and fourth years. The fellowships are funded for a period of four years.

Requirements

Applicants must have a university degree in Biomedical Science or a related discipline. The degree should be awarded within the European Higher Education Area or equivalent to a MSc if from a non-European area. Studies must have been completed no more than two years prior to the closing date of the application period. Fellowships are awarded on a competitive basis. A working knowledge of English is required.
