ASEM - Asia-Europe Meeting - DUO-Singapore Fellowship Program

Benefit

The DUO-Singapore Exchange Fellowship pays EUR 1,000 per month for up to four months (EUR 4,000 total) toward flights, accommodation and living costs during your exchange at the National University of Singapore (NUS). The fellowship is funded by the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is a grant: no repayment, no post-exchange obligations.

Awards come in matched pairs. You are selected alongside an NUS student travelling to your home country. If either student withdraws or does not complete the exchange, both lose the funding.

You continue paying normal fees to your home university. NUS does not charge you tuition during the exchange.

Eligibility

• Exchange placement: You must already be nominated and accepted for the NUS Student Exchange Programme (SEP). This fellowship adds funding to an existing placement; it is not a route into one.
• Degree level: You are enrolled full-time in a bachelor's programme.
• Home university location: Your university must be in a European ASEM member country, including Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK, among others.
• Subject: All fields of study are eligible.
• Grades: Selection is based on academic merit.
• Other funding: You cannot hold another NUS-administered exchange scholarship at the same time. If you have external funding, check whether it allows parallel awards.

How to apply

Apply through the NUS Global Relations Office by 31 March. Your home university's international office must endorse your application before you submit. Shortlisted applicants are contacted by email for supporting documents; no reply by end of April means your application has not progressed. A National Selection Committee makes the final decision, which is binding.
