About this scholarship

What the i-MBA scholarships give you

You will receive a reduction on your tuition fees for the full-time ‘International’ MBA programme at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) in Greece. Most scholarships are partial scholarships and reduce the fees. Occasionally, a full scholarship covers the fees in full. The full-time programme costs 9,700 EUR, so a partial scholarship is less than this amount and a full scholarship is equal to this amount. The scholarships are funded by corporate partners such as Athens International Airport and the chocolate manufacturer ION S.A., or provided by the i-MBA itself. You cannot combine a scholarship with other grants or external funding.

Who can apply

  • Programme: You have been admitted to AUEB’s international full-time MBA programme. The scholarships are intended exclusively for full-time students.
  • Degree: You hold a bachelor’s degree. A background in the social sciences, engineering or natural sciences is particularly welcome.
  • Work experience: You have at least three years’ professional experience since completing your bachelor’s degree.
  • English: You must have a fluent command of English, as evidenced by a C2 certificate, a TOEFL score of 79+ or an IELTS score of 6.5+. This requirement does not apply if you are a native speaker or hold a degree in a subject taught in English.
  • Nationality: Open to all nationalities. Some individual scholarships are subject to additional conditions, such as Greek citizenship or international student status.
  • Merit: Scholarships are awarded on the basis of your admission profile and academic achievements. A high GMAT score may make you eligible for additional scholarships linked to your GMAT result, where these are available.

How to apply

Applications for the MBA programme are made via the AUEB’s online application portal. There is no separate form for most of these scholarships, as all full-time applicants are considered. The admissions process takes place throughout the year in several rounds. The final round for 2026-2027 closes on 8 June 2026. It is advisable to apply early, and as part of the selection process, every applicant will be interviewed in English.

How realistic are your chances?

These scholarships are linked to a single specialised MBA programme, for which only a handful of scholarships are awarded each year; consequently, the pool of applicants is restricted to admitted full-time students. If you already meet the entry requirements (an excellent degree, three years’ professional experience and a sound command of English) and have an outstanding academic record, your prospects are good. A high GMAT score and applying in an early application round will both improve your chances.
