Sacro Cuore Catholic University (Milan/Italy) - USCS Scholarship

Benefit

For a Bachelor’s degree programme at the Catholic University of Sacro Cuore in Milan, Italy, you will receive a discount of tuition reduction of about 458 EUR per month (approximately 2,900 EUR per year). Instead of the full tuition fees for non-EU students, which amount to approximately 8,800 EUR per year, you will pay around 5,900 EUR. The discount is automatically renewed each year for the standard duration of study. It may remain valid for up to 3 further years, provided you maintain your full-time status. If you do not complete your degree within this period, the discount will end and you will be required to pay the full fee. Fees are set each spring and may increase slightly in line with the rate of inflation.

Eligibility

• Degree: You are applying for an English-taught Bachelor’s degree programme, such as ‘International Relations and Global Affairs’.
• Family income: Your family earns its income in a non-EU country (outside the EU, the EFTA states and the associated microstates).
• Nationality: Applicants of any nationality are welcome to apply. What matters is where the family’s income is earned, not your passport.
• Enrolment: You are a full-time student and will complete your degree on time in order to retain your reduced fare.
• Other support: You cannot combine this funding with an income-based grant from EDUCatt/DSU, and you will not be able to switch to income-based fees at a later date.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted via the university’s online application portal. There is no separate scholarship form, as the decision on the fee reduction will be made as part of your offer of admission. For the ‘International Relations and Global Affairs’ programme (2026/27), the application deadline runs from 5 November 2025 to 25 February 2026. You will receive a response within eight weeks of the deadline.

How realistic are your chances?

There is no separate selection round, so your chances depend mainly on whether you are accepted onto the programme. The university describes it as a programme with limited places and high competition. There is no minimum grade requirement and no income threshold, so any admitted non-EU student is eligible to take part. Applying early is advisable, as promising applications may receive a response as early as mid-December.
