Czech Technical University ( Prague / Czech republic) - Scholarship for foreign master students

Benefit

You will receive up to about 400 EUR per month (up to 10,000 CZK) to cover your living costs whilst studying for your Master’s degree at the Czech Technical University (CTU) in Prague. The scholarship is usually awarded for one or two semesters. In the case of outstanding academic performance, it may be extended for the standard duration of your Master’s programme, i.e. up to the official number of semesters. The funding comes from CTU: half from the university’s central fund and half from your faculty.

Eligibility

• Degree level: You are about to start a Master’s degree at CTU or are already studying there.
• University: You’re studying at the Czech Technical University in Prague.
• Field of study: Any master’s degree programme at CTU is suitable.
• Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, provided they are international students.
• No other funding: You are not an Erasmus, Erasmus Mundus or exchange student at CTU and are not currently receiving a government or other scholarship.
• Results: You must achieve excellent academic results and complete the required modules on time in order to retain your financial support.

How to apply

First, obtain approval from your faculty. You should then submit the application form via your faculty’s International Office to the Department of International Relations at the CTU Rector’s Office. A Vice-Rector will decide on the award based on the recommendation of the Committee of Vice-Deans for International Relations.

How realistic are your chances?

This funding is restricted to international Master’s students at a specific university, and you will need the support of your faculty before applying, meaning that the pool of applicants is small and selective. If you have been admitted to a Master’s programme at CTU, are not receiving any other scholarship and can demonstrate good academic performance, your chances are good. It is important that you keep up with your coursework, as the funding is conditional upon you passing your modules on time.
